John Paul Woodley was born Feb. 8, 1944 in Cleburne to Jack and Nolvis Sandlin Woodley, he was a graduate of Glen Rose High School. He married Phyllis Bruce Sept. 15, 2000 in Granbury. He was a longtime resident of Nemo died there Tuesday, March 14, 2006. He was an artist, carpenter and farmer.
His parents, grandparents, Mark and Zora Sandlin and Maro and Sallie Woodley, preceded him in death.
Survivors included his wife, Phyllis Woodley of Nemo; daughter, Shannon Marie Berlinger and husband, Scott, of Burleson; sister, Sally Mueck and husband, Edwin, of Nemo; brother, Jim Woodley and wife, Gwenda, of Nemo; stepsons, Chad Stealy, Curtis Stealy and wife, Debbie, Chance Stealy, all of Glen Rose; five grandchildren and a nephew and niece.
