Patsy was born on August 4, 1927 in Rainbow, Texas to Martha and Jacob West, Jr. She was a super mom and a fantastic cook. She ran a tight ship and was known for being tough but fair. She was a gardener and sold her vegetables to recreational and church camps in Glen Rose. Patsy was a seamstress, crafter and small wholesale business owner. Patsy was married to Alfred Harrison and lived in Ohio for many years and moved back to their beloved Texas in 1974. They built their dream home on a bluff overlooking the Brazos, in the back pasture of Patsy’s family’s farm in rural contentment. Patsy was preceded in death by her husband Alfred Harrison Hewlett who passed away November 5, 1997. She was survived by daughters: Annette Jan Hewlett, Lisa Colleen Lentz and husband Ronald, and Vivian Warren and husband Derin, grandsons: Andrew Triplett Lentz and wife Emily and Alex Lentz and wife Emily, granddaughter: Alice Collazo and husband Aaron, sisters: Ann Shepard and Nan Sanders, and numerous nieces and nephews.
