Betty Joyce Mullen was born in Nemo, Texas to Thomas James Mullen and Hazel Vesta Collins Mullen on December 18, 1934. She went to school in Glen Rose, after graduating High School, married Lowell Sammy Orr on June 21, 1953. Lowell was in the United States Air Force for 27 years and retired as a Senior Master Sergeant. She was a wonderful homemaker, gardener, Air Force wife, aunt, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She also worked in several banks, including Seminary State Bank in Fort Worth. She was a resident of Aledo, Texas for 47 years.
She was a devoted Christian and a member of the Church at the Crossroads in Aledo, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 63 years, Lowell Sammy Orr as well as her two brothers, Gary Wayne Mullen of Houston, Texas and Bill Collins Mullen of Glen Rose, Texas.
Survivors include her two daughters, Cynthia Jean Orr Jordan and her husband Jack Jordan of Fort Worth, Texas, and Pamela Joyce Orr Stanford and her husband John Stanford of Southlake, Texas. Five grandchildren: Scot Robert Jordan, Sheri Rene Rothe, John William Stanford III, Lowell David Stanford and Thomas James Stanford. Five great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
