Raised in Kopperl, Texas, Betty graduated from high school in 1955 and soon began a dedicated career in banking. She worked for several institutions before retiring from the First National Bank of Granbury after more than two decades of service.

In 1956, Betty married Kenneth Ray Cogdill, and together they shared a loving marriage that spanned 67 years until his passing in 2023. Their life was rich in love, family, and shared adventures.

During her retirement, Betty embraced her creative passions. She spent her days painting, sewing, and quilting, and she especially enjoyed traveling with Kenneth. Her greatest joy, however, was role as “Maimee” to her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Betty will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her boundless love for family, and her quiet strength.

She was survived by her children Robbie Qualls, and husband Randy, Kennie Cogdill and wife Cathye, Leslie Wasilchak and husband Craig, Chris Cogdill and wife Angie. Brothers, Billy Ray Forsythe and wife Leta
