Bill Barker was born on Nov. 20, 1924 in Johnson County, TX. to Ulan R. and Mary B. Norton Barker. He married Jane Vickers on Nov. 1, 1947 in Godley, TX. Mr. Barker was a graduate of Godley High School. He was employed by Walls Mfg. Co. for 27 years and Commanche Peak in Glen Rose for 9 years. He was a member of Field Street Baptist Church. Mr. Barker was a beloved husband and father. He had a love for the land and agriculture and most of all his family.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years Jane Barker of Cleburne; son, Larry W. Barker of Cleburne; daughter, Cindy Barker Mash of Cleburne; sister, Mary Ann Barker of Cleburne; grandson, Shane Barker of Cleburne; several cousins, nephews and a host of dear friends, along with two special companions, Bubba and Chigger. He was preceded in death by his parents.
