Charles Ray “Chuck” Lowe, 86, passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2018. Graveside service: 2:00pm Sunday, January 14, 2018, George’s Creek Cemetery Tabernacle, Glen Rose; Visitation: All day Saturday and Sunday morning. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Georges’ Creek Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 598, Glen Rose, Texas 76043.
Chuck was born on January 7, 1932 in Cleburne, Texas to Clarence and Rosa Lowe. He received his B.A. in Social Science from the University of North Texas. He was a history major with specialized study in the Civil War. He worked for twelve years in management with Williamson and Dickies Manufacturing Company. He later worked as a general manager for Lennoz Industries for 28 years. He retired in 1995. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by lifelong friend: Jack Cooper, sister: Ruby Nell Curtis, sister: Johnnie Fay Vassar, brother: Clarence Wayne Lowe, mother: Rosa Mae Lowe, and father: Clarence Richard Lowe.
Chuck is survived by his nephews: Dan Griffin of Granbury, Don Brewer of Cleburne, Brady Curtis, Jr. of Arlington, “Junior” J.R. Vassar of Fort Worth and Bill Essson of Athens; and a niece: Treece Carr of Jasper, Alabama.
