Section E, Row 23, Lot 579

Wanda (Cheek) Sparks was born December 12, 1930 in Fort Spunky, Texas to O.C. Cheek Sr and Ima Ratliff Cheek.

Wanda had a love for Jesus, cooking, birds and travel. Wanda traveled the US on multiple road trips with her two brothers and her sister. She was a longtime member of Glenview Church of Christ in Glen Rose, Texas. Wanda spent her days gardening, baking, babysitting and always made sure everyone in the family was taken care of. Wanda was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, aunt, friend, granny and great granny. She especially loved seeing her great grandchildren play, listening to their giggles and watching their every move with a big smile on her face. She could often be found joining in on their fun. She was so precious to us all; an example of selflessness, and showered us with love and a smile that could brighten even the darkest room.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James Sparks, sons Paul and Leslie Sparks, two brothers O.C. Cheek Jr. and Wando Cheek and sister, Maureen Gray. She was survived by her daughters-in-law Diann Sparks and Toni Jackson, seven grandchildren, Sam, Mandy, Brandy, Daniel, Amber, Jamie and Sarah, eleven great grandchildren, Claire, River, Gracie, Zoey, Emerie, Ambrose, Aydon, Aaron, Aiden, Wyatt and Ethan.
