Katie Sue Hilburn, age 88, a long-time resident of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2020 after a long illness.
Katie Sue was born on April 28, 1931, in Vernon, Texas was preceded in the death by her parents Ernest and Della Myres, brothers Charles Ernest and Yancy Carlos Myres and husband Marion Jack Hilburn.
She loved to write short stories and plays, but her favorite times were spent in her big white chair studying her Bible and preparing her Sunday School lessons.
Katie Sue was survived by three children, Kay Vanlandingham and her husband Glen Vanlandingham, Randolph Hilburn, and Richard Hilburn and his wife, Lori Hilburn. She left behind four grandchildren, Christopher Vanlandingham and his wife Melissa; Jeffrey Vanlandingham, Sarah Edling and husband Andrew and Matthew Hilburn; and two great-grandsons, Jack Vanlandingham and Houston Hilburn
Katie Sue passed away quietly on January 19, 2020 in Round Rock, Texas with her daughter by her side.
