Bill Orr was born May 18, 1936, in Somervell County to Henry Sam Orr and Girlie Lovenia Armstrong Orr. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1954-1958. He worked as a repairman for General Motors, was a member of First Assembly of God in Glen Rose and American Legion Post #462 in Glen Rose. He married Joan Stewart on December 29, 1974 in Glen Rose. He was preceded in death by his parents; stepdaughter, Starla Jackson; and brother-in-law, Harold Hardage. He was survived by his wife, Joan Orr of Glen Rose; children Sam Orr and wife Emma of Arlington, Lt. Colonel Corinne Davis of San Antonio, Chrys Weyer and husband Tim of Crowley, Zane Orr and wife Brandee of Dallas; stepchildren Debbie Wallis and husband Ron of Morgan Mill, Tim Jackson and wife Debbie of New Fairview, Elaine Woodward and husband Joe of Glen Rose, Darla Jackson of Walnut Springs; 26 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; brothers Lowell Orr and wife Betty of Weatherford, Ray Orr and wife Lois of Euless and sister Sandy Sue Hardage of Hurst.
