Girlie Lovenia Orr was born April 2, 1914, in Bono to Gaston and Viola Russell Armstrong. She lived in Glen Rose and Somervell County most of her life and was a member of Glen Rose First Baptist Church. Mrs. Orr owned and operated a dry cleaners and laundry store in Glen Rose for 35 years. She was the rodeo queen in Bono in 1929 and was first runner-up for Miss Senior Granbury in 1991. She was preceded in death by her parents and two husbands, Jake Dingler and Henry Sam Orr.
She was survived by sons and daughters-in-law, L.S. and Betty Orr of Aledo, Bill and Joann Orr of Glen Rose and Ray and Lois Orr of Euless; daughter, Sandy Sue Hardage of Hurst; 15 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 19-great great-grandchildren; and seveal nieces and nephews.
