Billie Berdell Armstrong was born on September 1, 1922 to Gaston and Viola Armstrong in Somervell, County. She married Arlis Elbert Orr on July 2nd, 1938 they had 3 children together, 2 sons and a daughter.
She was a nurse in the surgery department of All Saints Episcopal Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas for 25 years. She was a member of the Highland Church of Christ. After Elbert Orr died in 1976, she married Marvin Shockler on September 23, 1983.
She was survived by: Husband, Marvin Shockler; children Viola Ann Sanders and husband, Eslie, of Burleson, Bobby Gene Orr and wife, Sue of Hurst, Jimmy Don Orr and wife Kathy, of Baton Rouge, LA; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and sister Lovenia Armstrong Orr. She died on Saturday, October 12, 2000.
