Charles was born on September 23, 1934 in Longview, Texas to F. L. and Nellie Williams. He proudly served in the United States Navy. He was a dedicated Deputy Sheriff for the Johnson County Sheriff’s Department and a police officer for the Burleson Police Department. He was a member of the Pentecostal Church.
Charles is survived by his wife of 28 years, Ann Williams, brother: Dan Williams and wife Sue, children: Jerri Duncan, Chuck Williams, Jr. and wife Chris, Dana Smith and husband Darrell, Deryl Williams, Dani Stevens and husband Calvin, Flora Marino, Deborah Coker, Edwin Goodwin, Jr. and wife Trish, Edwin Goodwin III and wife Tresha, Elvin Goodwin and wife Jeanna, and Eddie Goodwin and wife Shaunna, 28 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, a number of great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
