Howeth, David Franklin “Frank”

Frank was born Jan. 20, 1934, in Fort Spunky, Texas, to Garland Melvin Howeth and Lola Mariah Barker Howeth.
Frank graduated From Glen Rose High School in l952 and attended Cisco Junior College on a football scholarship. He was a football and baseball player in both high school and college. He also loved to sing and was a member of a quartet while attending Cisco College. He served as a lifeguard at the local swimming pool and taught many children how to swim. In later years, he loved traveling, playing golf, fishing and flying his airplane all over the United States for both business and pleasure trips with his family.
He was the owner of Hydraulics Inc. in Fort Worth, Texas, for more than 50 years, and he held several international patents in his field of expertise. In addition to being a successful business owner, one of his favorite things in life was raising his Brangus cattle on his beloved Brock III Farms. He was vice president of the International Brangus Breeders Association for several years and served on the board of directors for the Texas Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association.
Frank was known for his wonderful, witty sense of humor and his caring spirit. He will be missed by many.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Justin Dwain Howeth.
Survivors: his loving wife, Betty Russell Howeth; three daughters, Sherre Graydon and husband, Mike, Dixie Ernst and husband, Tony, and Jennifer Howeth; two grandsons, Theo Joshua Jemison and Tyler Ernst; and one granddaughter, Ashley Ernst. Also left to cherish his memory are Betty’s extended family of two daughters, their husbands, three granddaughters and one grandson, many friends and relatives and his church family at Lane Prairie Baptist Church.
