Bill was born on May 8, 1941, in Cleburne to Thomas James Mullen and Hazel Collins Mullen. He married Ruth Nichols on Dec. 30, 1980, in Glen Rose.
He was raised and attended school in Glen Rose and also raised his family there.
Bill owned and operated Bill Mullen Wrecker Service in Somervell County for over 50 years and later was a manager for Bruner Motors in Glen Rose. He was a member of New Prospect Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors are his wife, Ruth Mullen, of Glen Rose; children Kimberly Howard, Charlotte Marsh, Lyndol Shelnutt and Deborah Phipps; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a sister, Betty Orr, and husband, Lowell; a brother, Gary Mullen, and wife, Linda; and several nieces and nephews and many friends.
