She was introduced to Curtis Morgan at the Bromide Baptist Church while he was home on military leave. They married in 1955 and moved to Texas to build their life. Curtis served in the United States Army for 11 years and worked as a pipeliner while they traveled to many states across the U.S. They had three children, Scott, Kevin and Sue. She was an active member of Georges Creek Baptist Church and enjoyed painting, reading, refinishing furniture and genealogy research.
