Arvel Gene McConathy was the oldest child born to Arvel Josh McConathy and Ruth Allison McConathy he had two sisters Donna and Ruth McConathy. Gene served his country in the United States Air Force. He Married Mary L. Vinson on July 29, 1960 in Cleburne, Texas. They had three children Kim, Brenda and Jay McConathy. For many years , Gene and his mother, Ruth, were Co-Owners of Mac’s Drive-in Grocery in Cleburne. For 17 years Gene worked as maintaince coordinator for Walls Industries, where he oversaw their Texas facilities. A devoted Husband and father, Gene enjoyed gardening, fishing trips to Mexico with his family, and building things in his workshop.
