Fannie was born on August 10, 1915 to Cliff and Vernise Myres in the George’s Creek Community in Johnson County. She resided in Granbury for many years before moving to Richland Hills. She was a former member of the First Baptist Church in Granbury and a member of Oak Knoll Baptist Church in Haltom City. Fannie Mae Myres was a retired Tarrant County Clerk’s office employee. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alford “Buck” Buchanan. She was survived by grandson Andy Smith; numerous nieces and nephews and her beloved dog, “Snoopy”.
