The historic George’s Creek Church, which is cared for by the Georges Creek Cemetery Association, is holding the annual 56th Annual Homecoming on Sunday, October 11, 2026.
We are excited to share that Don Kuykendall from Rockwall discovered an original Church Ledger from the 1880s and returned it to the church. Many of our ancestor’s births, baptisms, and burials are listed. We will also have an Ancestory.com station set up for those interested in exploring what’s available of their own family history.
Please join us at 11am for a program that features a live performance from the Barker-Koepf Gospel Quartet, a message from pastor Larry Smith and good old-fashioned gospel singing, in honor of God’s goodness and faithfulness, followed by a potluck lunch.
